Avril Lavigne Cancelled Concert In Malaysia Now Back On

Despite reports that vocaliser Avril Lavignes concert was cancelled in Malaysia, it is at once confirmed that it will go ahead.

"Well, I've actually been sanctioned by the government to play a show," she said. "I've already sold 10,000 tickets there, so I will be going to put on a concert for the fans, stated Lavigne to MTV News.

"They run to, you know, sometimes not need Western artists in their country. I respect that, but at the same time, you know, there's people that listen to music there and want to see their idols and stuff, so it's all skillful: been approved by the government and I'm passing to go put on a designate and have fun."

Lavigne was deemed too sexy by Malaysia's Islamic opposition party and mustiness follow the rules that require all performers to be covered from chest to knees without article of clothing containing obscene or drug-related images.

The concert in Malaysia will get place in Kuala Lumpur at the Stadium Merdeke on August 29.
